Spring a ling - What's this? Life? You mean wolves still exist and there was no giant super nuclear stupendous explosion? Oh well, it sounded good right. Yes wolves exist! Well one anyways..Looks as though a certain male has decided to reclaim the lands of FD and try his hand at reviving the once glorious pack of Frozen Darkness. Grab a chair and some popcorn folks, this will be interesting.
General
  • We do not expect everyone to be total nerds or gramma whores, but we do expect a certain human tool known as "the brain" to be used at all times while in public.
  • This is a chat based role play, so we will not limit anyone on how much they want to post, but be aware that parachat cuts your typing off at about 2 1/2-3 lines depending on what font you are using etc. Make sure to add >> or (c) at the end of your posts if you plan on writing more.
  • Using foul language and or making racial or sexual comments directly towards someone else out of character is not allowed. In character you are allowed to think such things, but watch whose toes you step on if you wish to say them allowed!
  • We accept all ages and levels and we want to make sure our role play environment is not generating to much heat towards another player. Respect is basically all we want for each individual that comes onto our site.

Your Character

  • Your character is to be as realistic as possible for this role play. That means wings, funny colors, clothing, jewelry and magical charms or other sources of magic are not allowed.
  • If you are new to role playing wolves or are not that sure on their body structure or pack setup, we ask that you dig up some info on them online before you get yourself into a situation that could get you removed from the site. Wolf Howl is a good place to start.
  • Not everyone can be lithe, muscular, and sexy all at the same time. If you plan on role playing a female character make sure your description adds up! Same thing goes for males. It is a known fact that males are larger than females, but don't over do muscle structure or size.
  • Act accordingly to your rank. It is extremely uncommon that a pup will take on an adult wolf and win. Such trivial acts can get you banned from the site. Don't temp us to add more stricter rules and run the pack like a military base. Just use common sense. Same thing goes for lower ranked or weaker individuals biting off more than you can chew. Watch yourself.
  • Grey wolf is the most common wolf choice, but as long as you look into the classification of your character then you can be any class as long as they are more wolf then anything else.
Mating and Pups
  • If your wolf has reached sexual maturity and it is breeding season there is chance that your 'female' character will be forced into breeding with a strange male or another pack mate. Feel free to fight back, but do not create male characters just to have pups or start trouble!
  • Wolves mate for life, although it is usually just the Alpha couple that gets to mate we allow all our members an equal opportunity to create life, so chose your mate wisely. Switching mates is frowned upon. If your mate dies or becomes inactive we will make an acception.
  • A female can have a max of 5 pups, with 3 being the most common. Pups born the in Spring and Summer have the best chance for survival. Pups born in the early Fall to late Fall are really pushing it. Do not have pups in the winter they will die.
  • Mothers that just had a litter of pups or are currently nursing can adopt abandoned pups, but if they do not meet one of those conditions then don't even try it. Newborns will not survive without a mom who can nurse them. It is extremely uncommon that any stray pup will find their way into a pack setting and find a mother, so don't go around creating strays or telling other role player that that is okay, because it's not, but we won't put up rules restricting it either.
  • If your character is a stray pup and it gets killed. Get over it. Males and Females can be territoral. Another reason might be that food is not so common, so there is too much competition. Killing a pup because they are annoying is frowned upon, but if it holds no blood relation to any of the pack members then we will not put restrictions on such an act.
  • Pups remain newborns for 3 days, Pups for 2 weeks, Preteens for 3 weeks, Teens for a month, and adults can live up to 8-9 years depending on how harsh their life style was and how good the pickings were. Wolves living up pass 10 years is extremely rare and frowned upon.
Fighting and Death
  • Fights are common in a wolf pack. Wolves fight for space, food, rank opportunies, and for fun, however (!) it is unlikely that a pack mate will kill another member of their pack over such trivial reasons! If a death does occur make sure there is a good reason for it, if not those envolved will be judged by their peers to decide a verdict. It is unlikely the guilty party will be killed so do not fret.
  • Killing a Ranked wolf can, however, get your character killed. Only current pack members in good standing (ie they have been in the pack for a while and most everyone knows them) can challenge for a Rank. Otherwise just cool it.
  • Golden Rule: No Godmoding or Power playing! If you do not know what they are ask before making a fool of yourself.
  • There is no killing law nor is there going to be a rule saying both parties need to agree on a death wish. Consider every serious fight you get character into to be a death match. No pressure =P
  • The Medal Awards for killings of wolves, aren't just any wolves. Each point must have a clear and exact reason, otherwise don't bother.
  • Once your character is dead they are dead. If you feel your character died unfairly well there really isn't much we can do. If the word has gotten out then sorry, but you must remain dead, but if a ranked wolf can get there in time to calm the situation then we might cut you some slack.
  • Think before leaping into a fight. First ask everyone what is going on OOC or IC before assuming this that and whatever.
  • Ranked wolves can and will force a wolf into submission, so do us all the favor and just submit! Unless you plan on challenging that rank for his or her rank, just submit. Submitting does not mean your character is a whimp it just means they are not stupid enough to take on a ranked wolf or piss one off.
  • Ranked wolves can only be challenged for Five days after they get that rank this is done only in fairness even if it is not very realistic!
